Golden Finance reports that on June 9, Iran’s representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, said on Monday that Iran and the United States are still working to advance peace agreement negotiations and that they are optimistic about “soon” reaching a final result between the two sides. When asked whether an agreement could be reached by the end of June, Iravani replied, “We hope so.” Iravani also emphasized that the current ceasefire agreement is comprehensive and applies across the region, including Lebanon, but that claim was opposed by Israel. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that although Israel has decided not to take further action against Iran, it will continue to carry out strikes against Hezbollah militants in Lebanon.
