Golden Finance reports that on June 9, Iran’s Holy City Forces commander Ismail Kani said that a “new security belt” is taking shape from the Strait of Hormuz to the Strait of Mand. He also warned the United States and Israel that any further acts of aggression would trigger a coordinated response across the region. According to Iran’s official news agency IRNA, Kani said that coordination among allied organizations in the region is deepening, especially after Yemen recently took “timely and forceful action.” Kani added that the actions of Israel and the United States are pushing the region toward wider confrontation. He also warned that allied armed forces have been deployed near key maritime routes connecting the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea.
