🇺🇸🇮🇳BREAKING: The United States became India's largest liquefied gas supplier in May, as disruptions across West Asia pushed India to rapidly diversify its energy imports.

US LPG shipments to India jumped 63% to 629,000 tonnes, while US LNG imports hit a record 907,000 tonnes, up 227% from April alone.
The shift came at the direct expense of Gulf suppliers. UAE LPG exports to India fell 31%, and Saudi Arabian shipments collapsed 75.5% in a single month.
Iran moved into second place as an LPG supplier despite ongoing sanctions pressure, with imports rising to 144,000 tonnes in May.
This is one of the fastest single-month realignments in India's energy import history, and it reflects how quickly geopolitical disruption can redraw trade relationships that took decades to build.
