American judge halts Trump's $100k H-1B visa fee order

BlockBeats News, June 9 — A federal judge overturned Trump's order to impose a $100k fee on H-1B visa applications, providing relief for American tech companies that rely on hiring highly skilled foreign workers.

U.S. District Court Judge Leo T. Sorokin in Massachusetts ruled on Monday that Trump's executive order to significantly increase the cost of this popular visa application constituted an illegal tax and must be revoked. The U.S. government is expected to appeal this ruling.
