Wu said that Sui announced that Confidential Transfers are now available in the Devnet public testnet. This feature allows transfer amounts and account balances to remain private while keeping on-chain visible information such as sender, receiver addresses, and token types. The issuer can grant data access permissions to exchanges, regulators, or auditors based on preset policies, enabling audit capabilities while keeping transaction amounts and balances confidential. Sui stated that this feature aims to meet the privacy and compliance needs of institutions, fintech companies, and payment platforms.
