BlockBeats News, June 8, according to Bloomberg, FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) has officially submitted a clemency application to U.S. President Trump, seeking to overturn his 25-year prison sentence handed down over the FTX fraud case. Previously, SBF had repeatedly publicly expressed his hope for a presidential pardon and continued to push forward with the appeal process.

Earlier this year, Trump said there were no plans to pardon SBF, and the White House also reiterated this position. However, with the formal application now submitted, the relevant process has entered a new stage.
