According to Fox Business, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) said in prison that he “absolutely” hopes to receive a presidential pardon from President Trump, but refused to disclose whether his family is currently lobbying for it. SBF again argued that he did not steal users’ funds and said that FTX users have now received about 170% of their claims. In 2024, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraud and conspiracy charges related to the FTX collapse.
