AMD plans to invest up to 2 billion pounds in the UK artificial intelligence sector over the next five years

On June 8, it was reported that AMD said it plans to invest up to £2 billion in the UK over the next five years to accelerate innovation in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as research and the development of computing infrastructure. At the same time, AMD announced a strategic partnership with Imperial College London, which is expected to support advanced computing research across multiple areas, including engineering design, multi-physics simulation, and materials discovery.
