SEGA's ATLUS announced a surprise during today’s (6/8) Xbox Games Showcase with a teaser trailer for "Persona 6." The specific release date has not been announced, but it is confirmed that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation 5, and Steam.

During the same event, ATLUS also announced that the remastered version of "Persona 4 Golden" (Persona 4 Revival) will be officially released on February 18, 2027, and will be included in Xbox Game Pass on launch day, adding more buzz to the series as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

"Persona 6" Teaser Trailer and Store Page Details

The "Persona" series has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Since the release of "Persona 5" in 2016, it has been 10 years since the last main installment. The entire "Persona" series is also celebrating its 30th anniversary, which has players excited about what "Persona 6" will feature.

From the teaser trailer, it appears that the main visual color for "Persona 6" has been confirmed as green, aligning with long-standing rumors, continuing the tradition of blue for the third generation, yellow for the fourth, and red for the fifth. Recently leaked online logo and character information have also been confirmed in this trailer.

The trailer shows somber scenes such as a cemetery with tombstones and a headless statue, with the words "WHO ARE YOU" prominently displayed. Some Japanese fans have speculated, based on facial features that can be pieced together from the trailer, that the protagonist might be a character similar to Ichiryusai Madarame from "Persona 5."

However, according to Japanese gaming media "Dengeki Online," information from the Xbox Store indicates that although "Persona 6" is set in modern Japan, depicting a group of students experiencing a year of school life, friendship, and romance, and using their abilities to lead a double life while fighting urban legends and mysterious incidents, the game has no story connection to previous titles. New players can enjoy it without worry. Technically, it supports 4K Ultra HD and 60 fps+ specifications.
