According to the Korean Central News Agency on the 7th, North Korean State Affairs Chairman Kim Jong-un inspected key military supply enterprises on the 6th, learned about the production of important weapons in the first half of 2026, and instructed that during the five-year plan period, the existing capacity of various ballistic missiles and cruise missiles be increased to 2.5 times the current level.
Kim Jong-un emphasized that raising the current production capacity to 2.5 times during the five-year plan, in order to meet the significantly increased missile demand, is a major and meaningful core task.
Kim Jong-un ordered the submission of a proposal to enhance missile production capacity for review at the second plenary session of the 9th Central Committee Politburo. He also instructed enterprises to strictly enforce quality management regulations and order, and improve product quality.
