Golden Finance reports that on June 7th, according to NBC News, Trump stated that the responsibility for Iran's nuclear weapons development program should be attributed to its previous government. He pointed out that during former U.S. President Obama's administration, a negotiation team composed of six countries reached an agreement with Iran: Iran would limit its nuclear weapons development activities in exchange for the international community easing sanctions and unfreezing some of Iran's frozen assets. Trump withdrew from this agreement during his first term. Trump stated that any agreement reached with Iran would not immediately unfreeze Iran's assets. Trump said, "That is a later matter. If they behave well, do a good job, then we will start discussing these issues."
