Jensen Huang to Announce Details and Cooperate With SK; Will Meet Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman

Golden Finance reports that on June 7th, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang revealed that on Monday (June 8th), he will announce a collaboration plan between the two companies with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won. Local Korean media first reported this news. A spokesperson for SK Hynix later confirmed that Chey Tae-won and Jensen Huang plan to brief the media on related plans on Monday morning.
Jensen Huang had dinner on Sunday with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, as well as executives from SK Hynix and SK Telecom, at a restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul. In an interview, he said, “We are collaborating with many industries, from artificial intelligence supercomputers to central processing units (CPUs), and to new personal computers and robots. So we are here today to make plans, and maybe some announcements will be made tomorrow.” However, he also pointed out that the memory shortage issue will not be resolved quickly.
In addition, Jensen Huang also plans to meet with Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Kyung Kye-hyun on the same day to discuss issues including high-bandwidth memory (HBM) supply.
