Golden Finance reports that on June 7th, NVIDIA and South Korea's SK Group are expected to announce their collaboration plans on Monday. The head of this American chip company stated that the current shortage of memory chip supplies will continue for several years. SK Hynix spokesperson confirmed that Chairman Chey and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang are scheduled to introduce the cooperation plan to the media on Monday morning, which also corroborates previous reports by Korean media. Jensen Huang also separately stated that NVIDIA will release related news together with SK Group on Monday. In an interview with reporters, he said: "Our cooperation covers multiple areas, including artificial intelligence supercomputers, central processing units, new personal computers, and robotics technology. This meeting is to finalize the relevant plans, and specific details may be announced tomorrow." He did not disclose further details. Jensen Huang also pointed out that there are no signs of relief for the memory chip shortage problem. "The entire industry supply chain, from wafers and packaging to silicon photonic modules, is under-supplied, and the root cause is the high market demand. This shortage will persist for several years."
