$PI 【People's Computing Power】

Just learned that SpaceX's subsidiary xAI has signed a multi-billion dollar contract with Google, paying up to $920 million per month!
To gain access to about 110k Nvidia GPUs, Google had to spend real money, just to stay competitive in the AI arms race.

This sends a clear signal: in the future, computing power will be more expensive than oil and more important than electricity.
Computing power equals power, but it comes at a high cost. However, this centralized computing model faces three major challenges:

1. Extreme centralization: Computing power is monopolized by a few Silicon Valley giants.
2. High barriers to entry: Nearly $1 billion per month in costs keep 99.9% of developers out.
3. Idle resources: After building a data center to train a model, how to utilize the computing power once training is complete?
. Pi Network's solution: 420k nodes worldwide of "People's Computing"

Unlike SpaceX's model of locking computing power inside data center cages, Pi Network is building a completely opposite type of computing network.

Core data:

· Active nodes: 421,000+ (and still growing)
· Total CPU cores: Over 1 million
· Geographic distribution: Covering the globe, truly decentralized
This is not just talk; it’s proven reality: Pi Network has completed a proof of concept with the robot operating system company OpenMind.

· Test content: AI image recognition tasks
· Results: 7 Pi Nodes received tasks within 1 second, returned recognition results within 4 seconds (such as identifying buses, pedestrians).
· Conclusion: Pi’s distributed nodes are fully capable of performing AI inference and even training tasks.
Dimensionality reduction: Pi’s computing economics

When Google pays SpaceX $920 million every month, Pi offers a disruptive alternative.

Pi’s unique advantage lies in the combination of “people” and “machines”: besides GPU/CPU computing power, Pi also has real users. In AI training, human feedback is a more scarce resource than computing power. Pi can not only provide computing power but also offer the world’s largest decentralized human annotation team.
. Vision: To become a more inclusive “computing landlord”

SpaceX is compensating for xAI’s losses by renting out computing power, turning itself into a giant computing landlord.

And Pi Network’s goal is: to make every pioneer a “computing landlord.”

· For developers: No need to spend $920 million, just pay with Pi to access idle CPU/GPU resources worldwide for AI model training or inference.
· For pioneers: That Node on your computer, which usually just clicks “Lightning,” can now run AI containers while maintaining the blockchain, earning Pi rewards.

Closing remarks

The collaboration between Google and SpaceX proves that AI’s demand for computing power is limitless, and also shows that the market for computing power leasing is a blue ocean worth hundreds of billions or even trillions of dollars.

In an era where giants eat up everything and don’t leave any leftovers, Pi is trying to break this monopoly.

It’s not about building a bigger factory, but about connecting millions of home computers worldwide into a giant “world computer.”
When Pi Nodes evolve from merely maintaining the ledger to powering AI brains, Pi’s value support will no longer be just consensus, but real, tangible computing power representing the future.

This is not only a victory for Web3 but also the beginning of computing power democratization.
