The Israel-Hamas War Breaks Out After 100 Days

Golden Finance reports that on June 7—today (June 7)—marks the 100th day since the outbreak of the U.S.-Israel-Iran war. Since the large-scale U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran on February 28 this year, Iran has launched counterattacks, and intense military clashes have continued for 40 days. Although a temporary ceasefire agreement was reached afterward, and the U.S. and Iran held their first round of talks with Pakistan mediating, as of now the second round of negotiations has yet to take place. Disagreements between the U.S. and Iran over the talks still remain, and there continues to be a lack of mutual trust between the two sides. In addition, Israel’s escalation of the situation in Lebanon, disruptions to the negotiations, and frequent military frictions between the U.S. and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz have made the prospects for peace increasingly unclear.
