At 2:30 AM, I was refreshing on-chain addresses, and my cat just sprawled on the keyboard and told me to hit “try the interaction again”… so I quickly pulled my hand back. When it comes to airdrops, there are basically two traps: getting countered (the moment you start interacting, they change the rules halfway / or the “witch” instantly hard-cuts everyone off), and getting swept up by my own FOMO (seeing screenshots others posted makes me want to go harder). I’m pretty laid-back now: I only interact with protocols I can use smoothly, keep it small and spread it out, and don’t treat gas like a lottery ticket. If I run into cross-chain bridges—those that have been having issues a lot recently—I’d rather do fewer interactions than bet on luck. And with oracles that suddenly start glitching their prices, everyone in the group is “waiting for confirmation,” and I get spooked too… just stay alive first. If I don’t get the airdrop, I’ll take it as saving money to take care of my cat.
