Today I helped DAO send a voting reminder, and I also checked the on-chain transactions stuck in the mempool, feeling like squeezing into a subway during rush hour. Clicking "Send" doesn't mean it will be on the chain immediately; the transaction waits there for miners/validators to pick, whoever offers the higher tip (gas) gets processed first; if it's too low, it stays hanging, or even gets "bumped" by a new transaction from the same address (nonce, you know), and in the end, you either top up the fee and resend or just pretend it never happened.

Actually, the most frustrating part is that during congestion, you start doubting yourself: Did I click the wrong thing? Am I stuck in the middle? Why is my wallet still spinning… Basically, it's just the network queuing, and you're waiting for your turn. Anyway, recently that mainstream public chain is undergoing upgrades/maintenance, and the community is speculating whether the ecosystem will move away. I think there's no need to jump to conclusions; first, get your transaction fee and failure retry expectations in check, so you don't panic and think the project team has run off when you're stuck for a long time at a critical moment.
