Recently there’s been more talk about parallel processing and sharding. When that lively “performance takeoff storytelling relay” flares up in the group, I actually find myself instinctively checking two things: where assets are ultimately stored, and how you’ll withdraw when it’s truly time to run.

Frankly, no matter how high the TPS is, it can’t rescue those few hours of collective silence after a cross-chain bridge gets stolen—on-chain activity is suddenly muted, like the noise has been turned down, leaving only the sound of a heartbeat. And after that incident of abnormal pricing from the oracle, it’s also pretty real that everyone now casually says “wait for confirmation”—what they’re waiting for isn’t an announcement, but for their own emotions to cool down.

I love breaking narratives into fragments to look at them, but of all the pieces, the two about exits and the safe deposit box are always the brightest.
