I keep flipping back and forth between the mainnet and L2: the mainnet is like an old city district—wide roads, but the tolls are expensive; L2 is like a new district—smooth to get around, but once the bridge gets jammed (that cross-chain moment), my mind just completely explodes. Put plainly, my compromise right now is: for small amounts and high frequency, I let them go on L2; but if I really need to do something big—especially if I need to be able to “if something goes wrong, I can still hold someone accountable”—then I go back to the mainnet and pay the tuition. As for the anxiety about staking unlocks and that “token unlock calendar”… I’d be panicked too, but more than staring at the calendar, I’m more afraid that in thin liquidity I’ll put one foot wrong and slide straight into slippage—like tripping into a slipstream of slippage poetry. Anyway, I treat complexity as the enemy: if I can move less, then I should; don’t ruin the experience and my sleep just to save a few bucks on gas.
