Hunter Biden, Biden's son, on cryptocurrency stance: "Hyperliquid"

Former U.S. President Biden's son Hunter Biden recently posted multiple times on the X platform, first mocking the Trump family and Jeffrey Epstein as "best friends for decades," then when asked about his stance on cryptocurrency, he responded with just one word: "Hyperliquid."
(Background: HYPE skyrocketed past $60 to hit a new all-time high! Four major bullish signals pushed Hyperliquid to become the 11th largest cryptocurrency.)
(Additional context: Biden pardoned his eldest son, prompting the community to call for CZ's pardon; Zhao Changpeng responded: he won't be a CEO anymore, Trump criticized the judiciary unfairness.)

A federal felony, a former president’s son, and a seven-year sobriety success story, all in one tweet filled with profanity and a crypto exchange name, have simultaneously dominated headlines in U.S. politics and the crypto world. Hunter Biden’s social media antics this week make it hard to tell if he's joking or seriously setting the stage for the 2028 election.

18 Things "All Americans Agree On"

On June 5, Hunter Biden posted on X, listing a long string of things he believes "most Americans agree on," speaking very bluntly.

Groceries are too expensive, tariffs are ridiculously high, Congress members and the president shouldn’t trade stocks, national debt is a mess, border security is necessary but legal immigration is good, endless wars are stupid "especially those no one wants to fight and no one has ever explained," AI is "my new best friend, but it might also steal my job, take away my ability to think independently, and humanity," diversity is great "the opposite is boring as hell," Canadians are super cool, Mexicans are chill, Putin is not a good guy "just watch 'Good Boy, Come Home' and 'Good Boy, Come Home IV' and you'll see."

Then comes the climax: "Epstein didn’t hang himself. The Trump family and Epstein have been best friends for decades."

Finally, he lists "things we’re told to argue about": myself, laptops, vaccines, transgender athletes, pronouns. And ends with: "That’s the joke."

This post quickly went viral online because it touched on nearly all sensitive nerves in American politics, and he used a tone that’s far from political, more like an internet troll.

"Hyperliquid"

During this wave of social media activity, crypto influencer gmoney.eth asked him on X: "What’s your stance on cryptocurrency? How will you counter Senator Elizabeth Warren’s anti-crypto army?"

Hunter Biden’s reply was just one word: "Hyperliquid."

No investment thesis, no wallet disclosures, no official endorsement. But in the crypto community, a political figure who might run in 2028 mentioning a decentralized derivatives platform itself signals something.

Hyperliquid has gained mainstream attention this year for launching crude oil perpetual contracts and becoming the only platform trading oil prices during the Middle East war weekends. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Sheldon Whitehouse subsequently called for the CFTC to investigate suspicious oil futures trading on the platform.

Hunter Biden choosing to reply with "Hyperliquid" is, to some extent, a direct stance supporting cryptocurrency.

2028: Polymarket Odds Surge 3x, Trump Also Says "Could Be Good"

Hunter Biden’s move might have a bigger political impact than the influence in the crypto world. When asked if he’s considering running for president in 2028, he replied: "Let’s see how the Biden family tries again."

When Trump was asked about this, he surprisingly responded: "He (Hunter) might do pretty well."

Hunter Biden immediately shot back: "I’m 28 felony charges away from his dark history, six bankruptcies, and a friendship with Epstein." That’s pretty savage.

On Polymarket, an anonymous wallet bet $7,500 on Hunter Biden winning the Democratic nomination in 2028, pushing the odds from 0.7% to nearly 3%. There’s no sign he’s actually formed a campaign team, but at least the market isn’t treating his son as a complete joke.
