Abstract generation in progress
Developed independently by the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the global ocean phenomenon intelligent forecasting large model—"Langya" 2.0—was released today. This ocean forecasting large model will provide intelligent technological support for marine disaster prevention and mitigation, shipping safety assurance, and other areas. "Langya" 2.0 connects multi-source observations, mechanistic understanding, and artificial intelligence reasoning, promoting ocean forecasting toward faster, more detailed, and more interactive development. Its release marks a new stage in the "Langya" series of large models, further advancing from basic ocean state variable prediction to intelligent forecasting of complex ocean phenomena, transforming ocean forecasts from professional variables into perceptible, applicable, and decision-making key scenarios. It will provide intelligent technological support for marine disaster prevention and mitigation, shipping safety, polar navigation safety, global climate change response, and other fields.
