Recently, some people have been frightened by words like “data availability / ordering / finality.” In fact, you only need to focus on one main line: in this transaction, who is lining up for it, whether there is somewhere the data can be readily reused by everyone to re-check and recompute, and how long you need to wait before it’s truly not going to be reversed (i.e., contested and overturned). In plain terms, ordering determines whether you can be front-run (that MEV thing); data availability determines whether, if something goes wrong, you can still reconcile your account; and finality is whether you dare to treat it as settled immediately and go do other things. Before and after this upgrade on some mainstream chains, everyone’s been guessing whether projects will migrate. But I think you shouldn’t start by looking at slogans—see whether the upgrade makes these three things clear: “queue rules + public data + confirmation time.” If it can’t make them clear, whether they migrate or not is just as frustrating. If you stare at those details for too long, your eyes get sore and your neck gets stiff… Forget it—go drink some water first.
