Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson announced on TapTools that the platform will gradually cease operations, stating that there may be more DeFi applications shutting down and ecosystem integration occurring in the second half of this year. Hoskinson said that the issues with Cardano lie in ecosystem commercialization, funding support, and governance mechanisms, and he stated that he does not control the treasury, governance keys, or protocol parameters, so he cannot push changes unilaterally. He also proposed an "extreme option": if the current ecosystem cannot be changed, a new Cardano could be launched by destroying the proof to reset the token economy and institutional funding mechanisms.
