Today, there are dozens of unread messages in the group again, and after scrolling to the end, I found everyone was sharing the same KOL's long infographic, then starting a chain reaction of emotional trading... I'm also quite speechless. What's more outrageous is that there's a bunch of L2 back-and-forth (layer 2 mutual sniping): TPS, fees, subsidies—who's stronger, arguing like sports fans. Anyway, after reading it all, I just felt my brain getting hotter.
To put it simply, impulsively buying and selling isn't the fault of group messages or KOLs; in the end, it's myself who confirms the decision. But they do know how to "push" you: the group makes you afraid of missing out, and the KOL makes you afraid of not understanding. My approach is very simple: first turn off notifications when I see the hype, then check a night later whether there's real on-chain usage, whether people are actually using it, not just activity built up by subsidies... otherwise, no matter how much information there is, it just speeds up pushing people to buy high and sell low. That's it for now.
