A couple of days ago, I attended a lecture by quantum computing expert Professor Lu Chaoyang.
I went there with a question: can BTC be broken by quantum computing?
The conclusion is that it theoretically exists as a possibility, but in practice, there's no need to worry. Before that happens, there will definitely be quantum-resistant algorithm upgrades.
However, looking at BTC's recent price drops, there's no need to worry too much, because with the development speed of quantum computing, BTC might not even wait until that day to become worthless (just kidding).
