According to Nikkei Asia, AI and crypto scams are continuing to increase in the United States.


The FBI's 2025 Internet Crime Report shows that in 2025, U.S. cybercrime complaints exceeded 1.01M, with reported losses of nearly $21 billion;
among them, cryptocurrency-related complaints reached 181,565, with losses exceeding $11 billion.
The FBI also for the first time separately listed AI-related scam data, with 22,364 related complaints in 2025, and losses close to $893 million,
scammers are using AI voice cloning, forged identity documents, and fake videos to increase credibility.
