Some people mistake foundational values for unnecessary wokeness.

Growing up, our parents taught us to say "Thank you Mummy" "Thank you Daddy" after every meal. That simple tradition was designed to build a culture of gratitude within us from a young age.
It trained us to appreciate the value of what we receive, no matter how small.
That training shapes how I run my home today. When my wife cooks, I always say thank you, even though I provided the money for the groceries. It’s not about who paid; it’s about recognizing and honoring the effort, time, and love she put into preparing that meal. I'll still teach my children same.
Let's not let wokeness dilute basic gratitude. Gratitude is never outdated!
