These past two weeks, I've been running tasks in several L2s again. The points system makes it feel like clocking in at a job, with layers of anti-witch measures being added on top. As I keep working on it, my mindset starts to drift... The more I get involved, the more I feel like just a tool. Later, I simply stopped and took a look at the treasury pages and progress updates of a few projects, trying to see if they are also "working" or not.

Now, I judge whether a project is serious or not by first looking at how the treasury funds are spent: are they paid out one by one for real things (audits, development, ecosystem subsidies), or are they always hidden in vague categories like "consultant fees/operational costs"? Then I check if the milestones match the on-chain actions and product changes, rather than always being "coming soon." To put it simply, I only want to continue testing projects where the treasury spending is transparent and milestones can be reviewed afterward; as for those that only push you to do tasks and rely on pie-in-the-sky promises for progress, I’ll just steer clear.
