Crypto界网消息,Deribit Chief Business Officer Jean-David Péquignot stated that $60k is not only an important psychological threshold for Bitcoin but also the lower end of institutional investors' cost range. Over the past year, a large number of ETF investors and institutional holdings have concentrated their costs between $60k and $67k. If BTC falls below $60k, the increase in unrealized losses could trigger further selling. Additionally, on Deribit, the open interest of put options with a $60k strike price exceeds $1.2 billion, and market makers' hedging operations may exacerbate the decline, while the risk of leveraged long liquidations could also amplify market volatility.

If leveraged longs are hit with a chain reaction of liquidations, the decline will accelerate itself—a classic scenario.

Deribit’s data is quite timely; the options market is indeed a leading indicator for price discovery right now.

Psychological threshold + technical support + option wall, triple overlay, both bulls and bears have to tremble a bit at this level

1.2 billion put options piled up at 60k; with market makers hedging the order flow, they can make volatility look spectacular.

The ETF army's cost is 60,000 to 67k yuan; if it falls below that, unrealized losses turn into realized losses, and emotions can collapse very quickly.

The 60k mark is really a tough hurdle; once the institutional cost line is broken, selling pressure could trigger a chain reaction.
