Mars Finance News, June 5—Gartner Senior Research Director Li Bin delivered a thematic talk on “By 2030, the impact of AI (artificial intelligence) on enterprise IT.” Li Bin said that in 2025, about 20% of IT work will be completed with AI assistance, while by 2030 it is expected that 100% of IT work will be completed with AI assistance. In response to the pain point enterprises commonly face in the “AI + IT” transformation—namely “high investment and unclear returns”—Li Bin believes that AI’s value being not explicitly visible is a widespread phenomenon. He noted that 80% to 90% of a company’s technology investments do not directly generate revenue or new business, but instead are focused on improving and optimizing the capabilities of its core business.
