Over the past couple of days, I’ve been seeing a bunch of screenshots in the group of “whale addresses bought XX” flying around. Everyone gets excited and wants to copy the trade… But let’s be real: before anything, think clearly about whether they’re building a position, or hedging / relocating positions. Many large transfers look like they’re about to surge, but they might just be moving spot holdings to an exchange to hedge, or opening reverse positions to lock in profits. If you jump in, you’re basically just getting swept up in the emotions.

These days, I’m more inclined to wait one or two more steps: see whether they enter in batches, whether there’s a pullback and they keep adding, and whether the on-chain positions are getting thicker and thicker. If it’s “transfer a big amount all at once and then there’s no follow-up,” I basically treat it as noise. Recently, hardware wallets have been out of stock, and phishing links are everywhere. In times like this, don’t rush to click on unknown “address tracking” websites… Just slow down—at least you can sleep more peacefully.
