I consider myself to be doing okay financially—actually, well above average—but as time goes on, I keep wondering how the hell a normal person manages to live in Romania.

Prices have simply gone off the rails.
Gasoline is very expensive, services are expensive, and food is expensive.
For example, how could someone working at a hypermarket afford to get 3 cavities if it costs 1500 RON?
2 movie tickets, a popcorn, and 2 sodas—200 RON. How can a normal person possibly pull that off?
I don’t even want to imagine what a good chunk of Romania’s population is going through, and the politicians couldn’t give a damn.
