Unchained Summit Vietnam Facilitates High-Level Regulatory and Industry Dialogue on the Future of Digital Assets

On the sidelines of Unchained Summit Vietnam 2026, a high-level executive roundtable brought together senior government officials, regulators, institutional leaders, and international industry participants to engage in substantive dialogue on the future of digital asset regulation and market development in Vietnam.

The session, titled Vietnam's Path to a Trusted Digital Asset Ecosystem, was convened at Furama Resort, Da Nang, and represented one of the most significant gatherings of its kind between Vietnamese regulatory stakeholders and global digital asset industry leaders to date.

Discussion and Key Themes

As part of Unchained Summit Vietnam, an invite-only executive roundtable brought together representatives from the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC), government stakeholders, financial institutions, digital asset companies, technology providers, and industry leaders for a constructive discussion on the future of digital assets and financial innovation.

The session provided a platform for participants to exchange perspectives on key topics shaping the global digital asset landscape, including regulatory frameworks, institutional participation, stablecoins, digital asset infrastructure, security and risk management, compliance, and emerging technology trends.

A key highlight of the discussion was the participation of Mr. To Tran Hoa, Permanent Deputy Head of the Crypto Asset Market Supervision Department at the State Securities Commission of Vietnam, who shared insights into Vietnam’s evolving regulatory vision and the importance of fostering innovation while ensuring market integrity, investor protection, and sustainable industry development.

Participants also shared international experiences and best practices from various jurisdictions, providing valuable perspectives on how different markets are approaching digital asset regulation, institutional adoption, and ecosystem development. The discussion reflected a strong willingness among stakeholders to engage in open dialogue and contribute constructively to the growth of Vietnam’s digital asset and financial innovation ecosystem.

The roundtable underscored the importance of continued collaboration between regulators, industry participants, technology providers, and financial institutions as Vietnam explores opportunities in digital assets, blockchain technology, and the broader digital economy.

Outcome

Following the roundtable, participants agreed to explore the establishment of an ongoing industry engagement working group in coordination with the State Securities Commission of Vietnam. The working group would provide a structured channel for continued knowledge sharing, regulatory dialogue, and collaborative input into the development of Vietnam's digital asset market framework — building on the relationships and discussions initiated at the summit.

The roundtable was moderated under the auspices of Unchained Summit Vietnam 2026, organised by Aeternum and co-hosted with DISSC.
