Recently, I keep seeing a bunch of people staring at on-chain large transfers and shifts in exchange hot and cold wallets, saying things like “smart money is coming/going.” I’m also curious and will click in to take a look, but honestly, this kind of interpretation is sometimes about as useful as reading horoscopes—it can affect your mood, but it doesn’t necessarily tell you what to do.
What bothers me even more is the governance part: delegated voting was originally meant to make things easier for lazy people (like me). But the more you delegate, the more it starts to feel like you’re “raising” oligarchs. In the end, who are the proposals really governing—holders of the governance token, or the small group of people behind the governance token…? Anyway, I’m pretty Buddhist about voting right now. I’d rather participate less than hand my power over with a single click.
I treat complexity like an enemy: if I can avoid chasing, I don’t chase; if I can avoid leverage, I don’t use it. Sleep comes first.
