The Last Article — Written for Myself, Also for Newcomers to the U.S. Stock Market

This is the 50th article in this series (if you count the previous 34+8+6+2? Never mind). By now, I’m starting to feel a bit exhausted. But I want to seriously wrap it up.

As someone who transitioned from the crypto world to the U.S. stock market, my biggest feeling is: the essence of trading hasn't changed, but the rhythm has. In crypto, I pursued “getting rich quickly”; now in stocks, I pursue “not losing money.” This shift took three years and cost me a few thousand dollars, before I finally understood.

Gate gave me an opportunity to enter the U.S. stock market with a low barrier. No need for overseas cards, no need to exchange currency, no minimum deposit of hundreds of dollars. You can start with just $20, and buy as little as 0.01 shares. For someone like me, a small retail investor, that’s revolutionary.

I know I can’t get rich off 0.01 shares of NVDA. But I know, if I don’t start, I’ll never own that 1 share, 10 shares, or 100 shares. All big investors started with their first share.

This series of posts documents my first steps in the U.S. stock market. There are right choices, wrong choices; moments of pride, moments of regret. But everything is genuine.

Thanks to Gate Square for providing this platform, and thanks to the events that pushed me to write so much. Also, thank you to everyone who read these posts. If you’re just starting out, don’t be afraid—take it slow. Buy 0.01 shares first, feel the rhythm of the U.S. stock market. Then write it down, share it out.

Maybe in three years, when we look back, we’ll be grateful for this small but brave beginning today.

May we all learn patience, learn to hold, and learn to grow together with good companies in the U.S. stock market.
