Lately, monitoring on-chain data feels a bit like checking the weather forecast: the same cloud, phone A says it's going to rain, computer B is still sunny... It wasn't until later that I realized many "on-chain" data are actually fed to you after passing through nodes/RPCs/indexers, with some delay or missing a few entries being normal. Especially when it's hot, everyone crowds the same public RPC, and when latency hits, people start questioning everything.

These days, the criticism of staking and shared security being a "nested" setup has resurfaced. I think part of the controversy is due to information gaps: the yields, TVL, or even transaction records you see might be already a few blocks behind, emotions arrive first, and the data is still on its way.

Now, I’ve scaled down my goals: only focus on two or three key addresses + the block production rhythm of the chain I usually use. Not chasing every candlestick, which actually helps me stick around longer... Even if I lose, I can review it, and at least know whether I was beaten by the market or tricked by RPC "lag."
