CoinWorld news: Coinbase announced that the first U.S. mortgage backed by Fannie Mae and using Bitcoin as the underlying asset has been successfully issued. The loan was initiated and serviced by Better, with technology supported by Coinbase, allowing borrowers to use the BTC or USDC in their Coinbase accounts as collateral to apply for a mortgage for paying the home down payment without forced liquidation of digital assets. Coinbase said that the product will be rolled out nationwide across the U.S. this summer, providing Bitcoin holders with an innovative mortgage option.

BTC-0.95%
USDC-0.02%
