Last night, I was rummaging through my wallet and stumbled on a bunch of “unlimited approvals”—and I was fully awake… Back when I used to hit confirm, I still thought I was so cool; basically, it’s like handing someone the keys and not asking what they’re going to use them for. Revoking permissions is just as important as sleep: if you don’t do it, nothing seems to happen today, but the day something goes wrong, it’ll wipe you out in one go—then all you have left for the post-incident review is, “Why didn’t I just click to revoke back then?”

Lately, people have been talking about adding taxes and tightening compliance in some areas—tightening a bit, then loosening a bit—so expectations around deposits and withdrawals make your stomach turn. The more of a messy, back-and-forth situation it gets, the less you should stack extra risk on top of your own. Anyway, I’ve got a habit now: when I’m done using something, I revoke it. And for anyone too lazy to revoke, just open a smaller wallet—use it like a disposable cup… I’m going to get to work.
