Masayoshi Son loses Asia's richest person title, with personal net worth evaporating by $13.2 billion in one day

Golden Finance reports that on June 4, according to Forbes’ real-time billionaire list data for today, SoftBank Group founder and CEO Masayoshi Son saw his personal wealth shrink by 13% in a single day. His personal net worth was wiped out by $13.2 billion in one day, and his latest net worth fell to $87.1 billion, dropping to a rank below Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. Meanwhile, SoftBank Group (SBG) shares have cumulatively fallen by more than 18% over the past three days. As of the time of publication, the stock is at 7,377 yen, with a total market capitalization of approximately 42.14 trillion yen, which was once surpassed by storage giant Kioxia, causing it to lose its position as Japan’s top company by market cap.
