Golden Finance reports that on June 4th, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis recently told CNBC that JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon’s view of the CLARITY Act is "completely wrong" and that he has not read the bill.
Previously, Jamie Dimon had sharply criticized the proposed CLARITY Act and stablecoins, accusing them of lacking sufficient anti-money laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) protections. He stated that if crypto companies perform functions similar to banks, they should comply with the same AML, KYC, and regulatory standards as traditional banks. Additionally, he criticized Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, calling him "full of nonsense," and vowed to oppose the bill.
