Having entered the crypto space 20 years ago, I have experienced countless liquidation events. During this time, I also calmed down for over a year, learned from many industry experts, and interacted with many top traders offline. Those who can survive in this circle all have their own trading systems and are not influenced by others. Their leverage multiples are very low, usually around five times, with some using two or three times leverage to trade. The reason we get liquidated is because we always want to hit it big in one shot, pushing leverage to the maximum. When market volatility is intense, we can be liquidated within a minute.
Previously, I paid special attention to win rate when trading. In 2022, when I was managing trades, I had a 97% win rate over two months, but I was earning very little. When holding positions, I lost more. Those top traders don’t care about win rate; they care about risk-reward ratio, and they open fewer trades—maybe once every few days or even a week or two. They make more money than us with less frequent trades, and their risk is lower.
Before learning from these experts, I used to open about ten trades a day, making small profits and selling quickly. When losing, I would hold on stubbornly, which ultimately led to liquidation. I also loved trading altcoins because of their high volatility, always thinking I could make money from them. I believe many people dream of getting rich overnight, but many also got wiped out by altcoins because of their large swings—fast profits, but also quick losses.
Recently, I took some advice from these top traders: they told me not to fight the market or gamble against myself. Strictly set stop-loss and take-profit orders, and once set, don’t adjust the position. Currently, I’m trading on another platform and plan to transfer to this platform around mid-July. I hope we can all communicate more then.
Since I first entered the space five years ago, I’ve experienced many black swan events and a major bull market. But due to my trading habits, I missed many opportunities. In mid-July, I will publicly share my real trading account. This time, I won’t chase quick riches; I will strictly follow my trading system, aiming for stable profits $BTC and smaller drawdowns.
