Deep Tide TechFlow News, June 4th, according to Cointelegraph reports, AI company Anthropic released a report showing that between March 2025 and March 2026, out of 832 accounts banned for policy violations that they reviewed, 560 (about 67%) used AI to assist in preparing cyberattacks, including writing malware, identifying smart contract vulnerabilities, and more.

The report points out that AI is being more deeply integrated into the attack lifecycle, with 6.5% of accounts using AI-assisted "lateral movement" techniques, enabling attackers with lower technical barriers to perform complex operations. The proportion of high-risk accounts increased from 33% to 56%, indicating a significant rise in attacker threat levels. Anthropic warns that as AI agent capabilities improve, such autonomous attack behaviors may become more common.
