Arkham: Whether the Zcash chain is halted is in doubt, or it is only a delay issue with the blockchain explorer after the upgrade.

Mars Finance News, June 4th, according to monitoring by the crypto data platform Arkham Intelligence, multiple block explorers for privacy coin Zcash have not displayed new block confirmations in the past few hours, sparking community discussions about whether the network has already halted. Arkham stated that, based on filtering on-chain transaction records of Zcash, no new on-chain transfer records have been observed for over 5 hours, leading some users to believe that the Zcash network may have stopped producing blocks. However, there is currently no evidence to prove that the mainnet has completely stopped operating. Some community members suggest that the issue may be caused by data node failures relied upon by the block explorers, rather than an interruption in the Zcash consensus network itself. Meanwhile, some Zcash mining pool monitoring pages still show that new blocks are continuously being produced. Another speculation relates to recent network upgrades. On May 29th, the development team discovered a vulnerability in the Orchard Shielded Pool and completed a network upgrade and fix on June 1st. Some developers believe that the block explorers may be experiencing synchronization delays after the upgrade and are still catching up with the latest block data. As of press time, Zcash officials have not confirmed a network halt, and the cause of the issue remains under further investigation. If it is later confirmed that the problem is only due to block explorer or node synchronization failures, it will not affect on-chain consensus and fund security; if it is confirmed to be an abnormality in mainnet block production, it could impact transaction confirmation and network stability. The situation is still developing, and the community continues to monitor Zcash nodes, mining pools, and block height changes.
