Abstract generation in progress
Drift announced on June 3rd that they are resuming updates, stating that the current focus is on restarting platforms that generate revenue and handling unresolved user losses through dedicated recovery pools. Drift said that with strategic support from Tether and other partners, the platform will relaunch as the largest USDT perpetual exchange on Solana. Drift stated that Noah Prince, former Helium protocol engineering lead, will join as the protocol lead, responsible for strengthening the codebase and platform security architecture; former Gauntlet team members will also participate in rebuilding work such as the liquidation engine, funding rates, market parameters, liquidator optimization, and risk monitoring. Drift also said that Mandiant's independent investigation has attributed the previous attack to North Korean threat organization UNC6862.

If the recovery pool mechanism is poorly designed, the secondary damage can be even more severe than a hacker.

Former Helium leader + former Gauntlet member, this combination seems to be involved in infrastructure rather than pure finance background.
