Georgia Installs Meters to Curb Illegal Crypto Mining in Mestia

Georgia is installing electricity meters across villages in the Mestia region to crack down on illegal cryptocurrency mining. The government estimates illegal mining costs the national power grid $7.5 million to $9.4 million annually.
