Coinbase association raises questions about transparency in crypto lobbying
Crypto World Network reports that the blockchain association affiliated with Coinbase has submitted a letter to Senate leadership supporting the “Transparency Act” and the digital asset market structure. The letter was signed by 160 professionals in national security, intelligence, and law enforcement, and it also includes senior executives from multiple major digital asset companies. The association says that clear rules will expand regulatory oversight, improve consumer protection, and help investigations. Some journalists and policy observers question whether the signatories’ current backgrounds and affiliations are adequately disclosed. On X, journalists found that nine of the signatories are Coinbase employees, further fueling the debate.
