Modular chains sound like home renovation, splitting consensus, execution, and data for sale... but for us button-pressing folks, honestly, it's just two things: smoother and more fragmented.

Smoother is there, crossing back and forth without getting stuck for an hour;
more fragmented is also true, with a bunch of networks and addresses in the wallet, even wanting to buy a crappy picture means choosing the right chain, or else it's "Ah, I transferred it wrong."
Thinking about it later, it's pretty funny— the more advanced the technology, the more users feel like they're playing a spot-the-difference game.

Recently, hardware wallets are out of stock again, phishing links are everywhere, and now when I see the words "airdrop," I first check the domain and then look at the concentration of holdings—don't let modularity widen the road, or the little guys will run into the trap themselves.
Anyway, I’d rather be slow than slip up once and get wiped out completely.
