Looking at the wars between Russia and Ukraine and the United States and Iran, one conclusion is that it's best not to easily go to war with a major country, because quick victory is difficult, and completely defeating the opponent is challenging. The war may enter a stalemate and consumption phase, and once in this deadlock, it is painful for both sides and hard to end.
The United States is undoubtedly the world's number one economic and military power today! But fighting Iran is still very difficult. Iran's total area is about 1.65M square kilometers, with a population of approximately 93 million. As a large country in West Asia and the Middle East in terms of area and population, its territory ranks 17th globally, and its population is also among the top in the world. After Trump recently captured the Venezuelan president, he misjudged his own capabilities and is now in a difficult position.
Clearly, the U.S. now wants to end the war as soon as possible. Rubio just reiterated that the U.S. military operations against Iran have ended, claiming that the U.S. has "achieved victory."
However, Iran is not giving face, and Iranian forces have struck military sites used by the U.S.
On June 4, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said: "Our armed forces are conducting self-defense strikes against targets related to the U.S. that are authorized for use and used to attack civilian ships and disrupt ceasefires. Any 'hostile' actions will be met with an immediate and decisive response."
Meanwhile, Russia, facing Ukraine, the second-largest country in Europe by land area, is even more embarrassed. Ukraine's total area is about 603.7k square kilometers (second only to Russia in Europe), with a population of about 39.96 million. Russia has fought for over four years, losing hundreds of thousands of young people, but with little effect, and recently has been repeatedly attacked by Ukraine with long-range strikes on Moscow and other important military facilities.
From this, it is clear that provoking a major power into war must be carefully considered! Any illusions of blitzkrieg, decapitation strikes, or quick victory should be abandoned, and the serious consequences that may result must be taken into account. Even the world's strongest economy and military power, the United States, cannot do it. $BTC
