Moses confronted Pharaoh and demanded the freedom of the Israelites.
Nathan rebuked King David over his sin with Bathsheba.
Samuel warned Saul and guided Israel’s leadership.
Elijah confronted King Ahab and Queen Jezebel over idolatry and injustice.
Elisha advised kings and spoke into national affairs.
Isaiah warned kings and leaders about corruption and injustice.
Jeremiah spoke against the leaders of Judah and warned of coming judgment.
Ezekiel addressed Israel’s leaders during exile.
Daniel spoke directly to Babylonian kings like Nebuchadnezzar and Belshazzar.
Amos condemned oppression and corruption among Israel’s elites.
Micah challenged rulers, priests, and prophets over injustice.
John the Baptist publicly rebuked Herod for immoral behavior.
Paul the Apostle testified before governors, kings, and Roman authorities.
Peter the Apostle boldly spoke before Jewish authorities and rulers.
Jesus Christ challenged religious and political authorities openly.
There are many religious leaders in Nigeria, both Christians and Muslims who have continued to speak up for the people. We appreciate their courage, but more needs to be done.
July 10 is the deadline for voter registration.
To every pastor, imam, and faith leader: please use your influence to educate and encourage your congregation on the importance of getting their voter’s card, coming out to vote, and defending their votes peacefully and lawfully.
The future of Nigeria concerns all of us.
No outsider will fix this country for us. Only Nigerians can take back Nigeria through unity, awareness, and active participation in the democratic process.
