What Gate Square Has Given Me—Beyond Stock Rewards
Actually, I participated in this event not just for the NVIDIA stock rewards. Of course, the rewards are tempting, but the bigger gain is that I found a place in Gate Square to discuss US stocks.
In the past, I bought US stocks and mostly studied on my own. Friends around me either only play with cryptocurrencies or think US stocks are too “traditional” and boring. At the square, I see many people sharing their holdings, analyzing trends, and exchanging experiences. Some opinions differ from mine, but it’s precisely these differences that help me see my own blind spots.
For example, I used to think Apple was no longer good, but an experienced guy on the square analyzed Apple’s services business and user stickiness in detail, making me reconsider. Although I ultimately didn’t buy Apple, I learned to evaluate a company from more dimensions.
Additionally, the “show-and-share” posts on the square also gave me positive feedback. I used to have no place to talk about my profits, and I was even more afraid to admit losses. Now, every weekend, I post a screenshot of my holdings, regardless of profit or loss. When someone likes it, I feel happy; when someone comments, I take it seriously. This community atmosphere provides support beyond trading.
This event has made more people start paying attention to and discussing US stocks. I think that’s a good thing. The crypto world and US stocks are not opposites but complementary. Gate provides a place where they blend, allowing us “marginal investors” to participate in mainstream assets.
Thank you, Gate. Thank you to everyone on the square. Whether I win a prize or not, I will continue sharing my trading records because sharing itself is a form of learning.
